Florence Marie Reiners

Florence Reiners of Edina, formerly of Northeast Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on March 7th, 2026 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald as well as her 7 siblings. She is survived by her children Mary (John) Meyer, Don (Cindy), Anne (Bruce) Palm, as well as her grandchildren: Sofia, Emma, Mason, Ethan, Gage, Danny, Jack, Charlie, Lilly and 2 great grandchildren: Eleanor, and Mara.

Florence grew up attending Holy Cross Catholic Church and school. After her marriage in 1965, she and Don were active members of Our Lady of Victory and Christ the King.

Proud of her Polish heritage, and exceptional at making Polish food, she passed on those traditions to her children and grandchildren.

Her strong work ethic was evident throughout her life. She continued working until the remarkable age of 84 at Mt. Sinai Hospital and Phillips Eye Institute. As a dedicated union representative, she was a staunch advocate for her fellow workers.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed shopping, dining out, her numerous cats and dogs, and hosting her family and friends for special occasions. She was outgoing and social, finding great joy in the company of family and friends. Her home was always open and she greeted all who entered with warmth and hospitality.
