FLORENTINO A. RODRIGUEZ, known to his loved ones as Tino, lived 67 wondrous years of life & passed away on February 16, 2024. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, he still managed to be happy & loving & kept his faith with the strength from God until the very end.
Loving husband to Juana (nee Barrera) Rodriguez with 32 wonderful years of marriage.
Dear son to the late Bonifacio Rodriguez & Ofelia Alcántara.
Beloved father to Sonia (Cody) Torres, Rebecca Rodriguez & Brissa (Moises) Cortes.
Cherished grandfather to Haley Rose Torres, Benjamin Jayden Cortes & Ember Lily Torres.
Leaves behind many loved ones including numerous loving cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers & sisters in laws, brothers & sisters in Christ & many friends he met along his journey.
Tino was a devoted Christian & Pastor of the Christian Church La Gloria de Jehova. More than anything in the world, he loved to spread the word of God to all who would listen. He always had a story to tell about his life. His testimony was special. He lived a life filled with joy, excitement, happiness, strength & wisdom. He followed his calling.
He loved American Football & his favorite team was the Chicago Bears, you would almost always see him dressed in Bear's clothes. He was also a lover of soccer & loved watching his teams Cruz Azul & México.
Tino's favorite color was red & he would've preferred the guests not to wear black for his funeral. He looked at death as a celebration of life & a celebration of the entrance to the glory of God in heaven.
Tino loved his family & always enjoyed spending time with them & was especially proud to have been able to meet & spend time with his cherished grandchildren.
Please keep the family in your thoughts & prayers during this difficult time.
Remember, I Love You:
When tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
Filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you would not cry,
The way you did today,
While thinking of the little things,
We did not get to say.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And every time you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we are far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right there in your heart.
