Floyd Edward Collins Jr., lovingly known as "Skip," passed away on September 1, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on October 26, 1955, Skip lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by family, music, and friendships that spanned decades.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Michelle Benson Collins; his mother, Dorothy Collins; his father, Floyd Collins Sr.; and his sisters Jay and Linda Kay, Skip now joins them in eternal peace.

Skip was a man of many passions. A gifted singer and guitarist, his music touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of hearing him play. He was an avid fan of auto racing, a pastime that fueled his spirit of excitement and camaraderie. Skip was also a proud, longtime member of the Moose Lodge, where he forged lasting bonds and shared countless memories.

Skip leaves behind his Sister Marjorie Knight (Elwood) sons, Floyd Collins III (Dakota) and Matthew Collins (April), stepchildren Matt Benson (Vann), Derek Tate, Kelly Tate, Matthew Tate, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and strength.

Skip will be remembered for his warm heart, his talent, and his unwavering ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
