Floyd Fletcher, age 87, a resident of Zachary, LA, passed away on July 31, 2025. He was born on July 8, 1938, in Melville, LA. Visitation will be First Baptist Church of Zachary on Tuesday, August 5,2025, from 10:00 am until service 11:00 am, conducted by Dr Eddie Wren. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park & Mausoleum in Baton Rouge. Floyd is survived by his children, Cindie Coghlan of Jackson, Sherry Fletcher of Baton Rouge and Steve (Dianne) Fletcher of Zachary, Shirleys children, Wesley Kent Robertson (Stacy), Anne Robertson Nash (Blake), Thomas Wilson Robertson (Celeste), brothers, George Fletcher (Linda) and John Fletcher, sisters, AnnieBell Smith (Glenn) & Ruby LeBlanc, 10 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 2 great -great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family. He is preceded by his partner Shirley Corcoran Robertson, his parents, Eddie & Lillie Fletcher and brother Jimmy Fletcher. Family was everything to him. He cherished every moment spent with loved ones, and nothing brought him more joy than gathering for a game of cards, his way to connect, to unwind, and to share time with those he loved the most. Floyd dedicated many years of his life to the skilled trade of painting, proudly serving as a member of the Painters Union. Throughout his career, he was known for exceptional craftmanship, a strong work ethic and a deep commitment to quality and safety on every job. He took great pride in mentoring, sharing knowledge and helping to uphold the high standards of the profession. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to First Baptist Church Zachary or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
