Floyd Gibbs, Jr. Jr.

GIBBS, Floyd, Jr. – of Burton, Michigan, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Burial of cremated remains will take place at 10 AM on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Davison, Michigan, followed by a Celebration of Life from 11 AM until 4 PM at Davison Odd Fellows, 2134 N. Irish Rd., Davison, Michigan 48423. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County in honor of Floyd.

Floyd was born in Flint, Michigan on January 8, 1950, the son of the late Floyd Gibbs and Mary (Robinson) Moore. He proudly retired from General Motors after 32 years of dedicated service as a crib attendant. Floyd had a true passion for working on cars, trucks, and motorcycles - always eager to get under the hood and bring machines back to life. A devoted animal lover, he had a special place in his heart for all creatures. He was known for his strong will and steadfast nature, never afraid to stand his ground. Floyd lived life on his own terms, and those who knew him respected his determination and admired his loyalty.

Floyd is survived by children: Angela Gibbs, Stephanie (James) Montgomery, and Laura (Ryan Smith) Gibbs; grandchildren: Megan Berger, Natasha Dunman, and Samantha Blake; great grandchildren: Elena and Olivia; siblings: Robert (Pam) Gibbs, Terry Gibbs, and Debbie Ryan; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by son, Anthony Gibbs; grandson, Randall Berger; siblings: Archie Gibbs and Karen Hawrylo.
