Dear Norman and Jean, The news of Floyd's death was heartbreaking. She was the epitome of a person who lived life in such a Christian and loving manner. Those of us fortunate enough to know her have truly been blessed. Her good spirit and smile will certainly brighten the heavens. Not only will Floyd rejoice in God's presence, but He must also be thrilled that such an amazing soul has come "home". Oh will she be missed!God bless you both. Love, Denis and Gwen

Dear Mr Humphrey & Jean,
I cannot even begin to tell you how heavy this is weighing on my heart. I will miss Grandma greatly, however I find peace in knowing that she is in a place much greater than the one we are in now, and I cannot wait to walk with her and sing to her once again. She has always been an angel to us and now she truly will look over us all. You are all in my prayers as always and I send my love and sympathy.

Norman,
We were saddened to hear of your mother's passing. There were great memories of the Baptist Bowling League and the banquets at Pine St. Each life is a miracle that changes the world...and leaves it a better place than it was before. God will uplift you in this time. Brian & Judith

Dear Norman and Jean,
You and your family members, most certainly including Floyd (and why did she let a young girl like me call her Floyd instead of Mrs. Humphrey? She was just sweet, that's all!) have always been reminders of growing up in the Pine Street family, and it was a special treat to see her last November at Mother's 80th birthday. I know you and many others will miss her very much, but I hope your memories and your sure hope of reunion comfort and keep you in His peace at this time.

Dear Norman,
Sharon called us last night, and we were so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was a lovely person. No words could ever hope to fill the emptiness of so great a loss, but we want you to know that you're in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Take care of yourself and may God bless you with his special strength.

Norman,
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear. In God's care she'll rest above, and in our hearts she'll rest with love. Memories of her are ours to keep, our words are few but our love is deep.
We will miss Grandma Humphrey

Another angel is singing in Heaven! Floyd was a beautiful lady. I loved her through the years - she was my Sunday School teacher, children's choir leader, and we were in the adult choir together (I sat next to her and followed her alto lead!). She will be missed on earth, but she is re-united with Tom and the family that went before her. I love you! Charlotte

Norman and Jean,
What a great loss to all who had the privelage of knowing 'Grandma'. I will always remember her as a woman of kindness, grace, and love and will always remember how she touched the lives of so many people. She was a true role model and I hope to touch as many lives as she did! Never forget that we will all see her again in paradise.

Jean & Norman, The Carter/Humphrey Family(s) have been part of the "solid rock" of Pine Street Baptist Church for as long as I can remember. I hated to hear about Floyd's passing - she was certainly one "godly" individual, and I'm glad we crossed paths thru the church connection. Always cherish the memories!

A life is like a song we write in our own tone and key
Each life we touch reflects a note that forms the melody
We choose the theme and chorus of the song to bear our name
And each will have a special sound, no two can be the same
So when someone we love departs, In memory we find
Their song plays on within the hearts of those they leave behind.
We love you,
James, Linda, and Jaime Tate

Dear Norman,
We were so sorry to hear of your Moma's passing. We want to send to you our deepest regrets.
We wanted to tell you that we appreciated your Mother's letters to us while living over in N. Ireland back in the late 80's-she would always keep us informed of the news back home and of what you were doing in your busy life. She was always the hostess with the mostess when we visited your home.
We thank God for giving her to you and for all the memories you will cherish of her always.
Love From,

Norman, I'm so sorry that your mom has left us, but I'm glad to know that she's joined your dad and is looking down over us. She was the ultimate gentle lady--kind, caring, and loving.
