Floyd Koth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Generations Funeral Home & Crematory - Tomahawk on Jan. 1, 2026.
Floyd "Fuddy" Koth, age 92, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Fuddy was born on November 11, 1933, in Tomahawk, WI, to the late Walter and Mayme (Crass) Koth. He was united in marriage to Elaine Hufschmid on June 29, 1957, at St. Paul's Church, beginning a lifelong partnership.
Fuddy proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard's 32nd Red Arrow Division and later joined the United States Air Force in 1952, serving during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, he continued his service in the Air Force Reserve for two additional years. After returning home, Fuddy worked for 10 years at U.S. Industries in Tomahawk and later dedicated 29 years to Owens-Illinois Northern Woodlands, retiring in 1996.
An outdoorsman at heart, Fuddy loved hunting and fishing. He also found great joy in lawn work, gardening, and his early morning walks. Known for his punctual nature, Fuddy's daily walks became so predictable that members of the community could tell whether they were running behind simply by where he was along his route.
Fuddy was especially active at his daughter's day care, where he was affectionately known as "the maintenance man," and lovingly was called "Grandpa Fuddy" by the children. He was an exceptional grandfather and deeply involved in the lives of his granddaughters; the true highlight of his life. He faithfully took them to and from school each day and made Saturdays special by bringing them donuts. Above all else, Fuddy would do anything for his family, whom he loved dearly.
Survivors include his daughter, Kim (Dale) Ernst, of Tomahawk; his granddaughters, Courtney (Ryan) Clark, of Grafton, WI, and Alexa (Dan) Woods, of Charlotte, NC; and his great-granddaughter, Elaina Woods. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Fuddy was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mayme; his wife, Elaine; his sister, Delores Wogsland; and his brothers, Walter, Harold, Ellsworth, Herman, George, Robert, Oscar, Donald, and Herbert "Hoovie".
Memorial services, with military honors, for Floyd Koth will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at St. Paul's Evangelical Church. Pastor Stephen Gillet will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will take place at the Greenwood Cemetery in the spring. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
