Floyd David Landis, 90, of Linton, met Jesus on Friday, May 2, 2025, at his daughter's home in Bloomington. He was born in Worthington, Indiana, on February 28, 1935, the son of Kenneth and Geneva (Magill) Landis. He married Mary Kay Dennis on May 1, 1959.
Dave was a graduate of Switz City High School. He worked at REMC until his retirement and was a knowledgeable and hardworking farmer in addition to his time at REMC. Dave loved fishing, raising cattle, and his family. He and Kay were faithful members of Fellowship Baptist Church in Linton. His love of God was always at the forefront of everything he did. He devoted time to studying his Bible and preparing his Sunday School lessons. He genuinely loved Jesus and lived to share his faith.
Dave is survived by his daughter, Dee (Randy) Goodman of Bloomington; granddaughters, Danielle Rosier and Kristen (fiance Daniel Bodemann) Kirchner; and great grandson, Collin Kirchner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Kay Landis; and his sisters, Marie Blanton and Bea Graves.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, with Pastor Phillip Turner and Pastor Steve Von Bokern officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
