Floyd Louis Watts, Sr. 79 of Midland, died Monday morning, May 5, 2025, at his home. He was born May 7, 1945, in Midland, son of the late Robert and Dolores (Haskell) Watts. Floyd attended schools in Midland, graduating from Midland High School. He was a pipefitter with Union Local #85 and retired in 1997 after 25 years. Floyd enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and hunting; he also was an avid card player.
On July 10, 2004, he married the former Karen Sue Wetherell in Midland. She survives him, along with children: Sherrie Prince of Bay City, Louie (Brenda) Watts of Sanford, Ron (Misty) Bovee of Midland, Jerimie Bovee of Midland; grandchildren, Tabitha, Tiffany, Bailey, Tony, Patrick, Erica, Matt, Malorie, Griffin, Jaik, Kayleigh and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Bobby (Lois) Watts of Midland and Carl Watts of St. Louis, his favorite cousin Linda Fisher of Midland, and special friend George, his cat. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Susan Watts and Janet Watts.
Floyd's family will receive friends on Saturday May 10, 2025, from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street.
