Floye Wood Obituary
Floye Patricia Wood, age 75, of Clermont, Florida, passed away on September 6, 2025. Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was the cherished daughter of the late Neal Herbert Freeman and June Lenora (Freeman) Harper. Patricia spent 25 years of her life in Opp, Alabama, before moving to central Florida earlier this year. Patricia dedicated her professional life to being a hairdresser until her retirement. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 48 years, John Ray Wood, as well as her daughter, Carri Ann Gunter, and her two brothers, Paul Eugene White and Charles "Pete" Herbert Freeman. Patricia is lovingly survived by her daughter, Terri (Tracy) Davis of Clermont, Florida; her brother, Phillip Michael Freeman of Indian Mound, Tennessee; her sister, Pamela Jean Mayoric of Ashland City, Tennessee; and her four grandchildren, Matthew Gonzales, Andrea Gonzales, Courtney Coon, and Alexa Gunter, along with four great-grandchildren. Services to honor Patricia's life will be held in Alabama. Arrangements by Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis, Florida. Patricia Wood's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
