Forrest Glenn Burns Jr., age 48, of Twin Lake, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, July 21, 2025, at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital, following a brief illness.Born on November 23, 1976, in Fremont, Michigan, Forrest was the beloved son of Forrest Glenn Burns Sr. and the late Linda May (Welch) Long. A devoted husband, father, and "Pop-Pop," Forrest was known for his deep love of family and his passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and target shooting, and treasured time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Forrest is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Amber Beardsley; his four children: Gabrielle, Isabelle, Forrest III, and Blake Burns; and two cherished grandchildren: Weston and Bailey. He is also survived by his father, Forrest Glenn (Vicki Zeckzer) Burns Sr.; stepfather, Charles Long; sister, Marina Burns; father- and mother-in-law, Stew and Nancy Beardsley; and brother-in-law, Trevor (Amber Lynn) Beardsley. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored him, including Trevor Norman, Mercedes (Chris), Dominic, Sky, Christian, Sarah, and Allison. Forrest is also remembered by his step-siblings, Jennifer, Michael, and Amanda, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will miss his generous spirit and warm heart. Forrest is preceded in death by his mother, Linda May (Welch) Long, his uncles Larry, Tom, and his aunt Nan.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Forrest on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Don Rea VFW Post #8846, 1061 Witham Road, Muskegon, Michigan 49445 - a meaningful date, as it marks what would have been his mother's birthday.
