Forrest Williams was born August 24, 1950 to the late Moses and Maggie Williams in LaGrange, GA. He graduated from East Depot High School in LaGrange, Ga. He worked for several years in the federal Government as an Air Traffic Controller and later for Wells Fargo Bank in the area of Wealth Management, where he served as a Vice President/Team Manager of the Southeast Real Estate Team. He retired from Wells Fargo Bank in 2023.
Forrest joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board, chaired the Christian Education and Children's Ministry with his wife, Dorothy, and was coordinator of the church finance team. He also drove the church bus and assisted in other ministries. He loved God and devoted his time and energy to serving the Mt. Zion Baptist Church family faithfully until his illness struck. He loved his Pastor, Rev. Eddie L. Bright, and called him a friend.
Forrest is survived by his wife, Dorothy, Sister, Patricia Hill (Warren), Brother-in-law Edward Martin, and five other brothers-in-law who are like his brothers (Robert Swift, Dorothy; Milton Swift, (Gloria); Harvey Swift; Albert Swift; and Leon Swift (Lou). He has a host of nieces and nephews whom he has helped raise, as well as numerous cousins, friends, and loved ones who have made significant contributions to his life. A special thanks to Jim Wigle, who was both his former boss and friend, and Delores Maggio, a kind and caring employee who brought much joy to his and Dorothy's lives.
