Francis David "Fran" Mansfield, age 81, of Lavonia, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at his home.
Born October 15, 1943, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, he was the son of the late William and Mary Golz Mansfield. Fran was raised in Upstate New York and moved south in his forties. He was a Mason for more than fifty years and was a member of the Lavonia Masonic Lodge # 241. He retired from Orkin Management, where he worked for AutoZone Security. Fran was an avid fisherman and a talented carpenter.
Fran is survived by his wife of 38 years, Wanda Sanders Wilson Mansfield; daughter, Pamela (Pete) Delorme; grandchildren, Madison Delorme and Cole Delorme; sister, Mary Mansfield Smith; stepsons, Greg Wilson, Steve Wilson, David Wilson, Mike Wilson, and Rick Spier; and ten step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Bruce Mansfield, Richard Mansfield, Mitchelle Mansfield, Martha Matheny, Kathleen Schultz, and Claire Jeffery.
Fran was cremated in accordance with his request. The family will hold a private celebration of his life.
