Frances Allegrini

MIDDLEBURY – Frances Allegrini, age 93, of Middlebury, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Friday, September 2, 2022. Her two daughters, Jayne & Joni, fulfilled her final wish that she pass at home and were by her side.
Frances was born in Oakville CT on May 26, 1929, the daughter of the late John and Anna Butkevich. She attended local schools, was a waitress while raising her family and retired from Bendix Company. Frances loved her flower gardens at her home. She loved to swim, dance, travel, and crochet. Frances was a very active woman even up until her last days. She was known to be quite the perfectionist. In her final days, her great granddaughter, Lainey, always brought a big smile upon her face! Frances will be sadly missed.
Left with cherish memories are her five children; Jayne Schindelholz of Thomaston, Joni (David) Ashmore of South Carolina, Judith (Dan) Hurley of New Hampshire, Linda Schweiger of CT, and Robert Kliest. Grandchildren; Nicholas Ashmore (Marlena Giannamore) of Illinois, Steven Ashmore of Granby, Deana Boll of Waterbury, Christina Hurley & Daniel Hurley of New Hampshire, Kevin Schweiger, Michael Schweiger, Duane Layden (Jamie LeRoy) and grandson Jordan Layden of Thomaston. Several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She also leaves behind her beloved granddogs; Ruby, Leia, and Stella. Frances was predeceased by her grandson, Justin David Ashmore, her husband Frank Allegrini, and her six siblings; Helen, Olga, Mary, John, Peter, and Michael.
Funeral services for Mrs Allegrini will be held privately at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours.
