Frances Louise Anderson, 91, of
Niceville, FL passed away on Sept. 1, 2025. Frances was born on Feb. 1, 1934, in Eskdale, West Virginia. She graduated from East Bank H.S. in WV.
She was married to Wallace Conrad Anderson for 54 years and followed his 24-year career in the United States Air Force. She had one of the toughest jobs in the military – a military spouse – as they moved all over North America, from Newfoundland to California and many other states, while raising three children and taking care of home during Conrad's many deployments.
Wherever they traveled, she always made sure her children had memorable experiences. Their last move was to Eglin AFB, FL in 1970 and they retired to
Niceville, FL in 1974.
After retirement, she also visited daughter Julie while she was in Europe.
She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her daughters, and later, clothes and keepsakes for her grandchildren.
She was a proud "Coal Miner's Daughter" and also enjoyed attending Powwows to celebrate her part Shawnee heritage. She enjoyed attending Niceville HS football games to see grandson Cody during halftime performances and college ceremonies of FSU games. Frances loved her dog Pepe, and after she needed him to go live in WV, it brought her great joy when he would travel to FL to see her. Above all, she was a Christian.
She was preceded in death by husband Wallace C. Anderson and daughter Julie Anderson-Kort.
She is survived by children, Pamela Phipps of Warren, OH and Michael C. Anderson and wife Debora of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren, Zachary and Jacob Phipps of Warren, OH, Matthew Phipps of Toledo, OH, Rachel Anderson of Clayton, NC, Michelle Anderson of Parkersburg, WV, Justin Anderson-Kort and Cody Anderson of
Niceville, FL; great-grandsons Victor and Oliver (Oz) Kaptik of Clayton, NC and Theodore (Teddy) Phipps of Toledo, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to her niece Carolyn Johnson of Cocoa, FL for all the visits to Julie and Frances. Also, friends Kim Smith and Trish Sawyer.
A deep thank you to The Manor at Blue Water Bay,
