In Loving Memory

Frances Louise (Cook) Burrows

December 1, 1935 - September 4, 2025

MEXICO, NY - Frances Louise (Cook) Burrows passed peacefully at home Thursday September 4, 2025.

Frances, better known as Sally, was born to Winn and Marie Cook on December 1st, 1935. Sally grew up with her many siblings in Bernards Bay, NY. and graduated from Central Square High School.

Sally moved to Mexico NY after graduation and worked as a nursing aide at the County Home. Sally met the love of her life John Burt Burrows in 1955; they married in February 1956. Sally and John had 7 children and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Sally retired after 30 plus years from Birdseye in the early 1990's. Her and John then began commercial farming full time. Sally enjoyed canning, baking and crocheting beautiful blankets for her loved ones. Sally loved nothing more than enjoying a cup of coffee with her friends and family on Friday nights.

Sally was predeceased by her parents, loving husband John, daughter Cookie, son John and son-in-law Rodney. She was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Sally is survived by her children; James (Barbara) Burrows, Elaine Ryder, Betty (John) Warren, Robert (Angie) Burrows, Jennifer (Edward) Searor. Sally is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.

Funeral Service Information will be as follows:

Relatives and Friends are invited to Calling Hours from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025 from the New Haven United Methodist Church, 4233 NY-104, New Haven, NY, 13121.

Funeral Services will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, from the New Haven United Methodist Church, 4233 NY-104, New Haven, NY, 13121.

Burial will follow in Mexico Village Cemetery, 45 Academy Street, Mexico, NY, 13114. Following the burial a Celebration of Life will be held at the Mexico VFW Edick-Hamlink Post #369, 5930 Scenic Ave. Mexico, NY, 13114.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in Sally's memory. Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Ave. Mexico, NY.
