Frances DiFabbio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc. - New Rochelle on Oct. 15, 2023.
Frances DiFabbio was a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, born July 9,1916 to Antonio and Antonina Raffio. She grew up in the West End section of New Rochelle. Frances married Joseph DiFabbio at Saint Joseph's Church on September 10, 1939. They had two daughters, Theresa deceased (Joseph), and Marie (Peter), Granddaughter Danielle (Michael), and two great grandchildren Kristiana and Alexandra. Frances lead an amazing life with a strong devotion and love of God, family and friends. She was an inspiration to all she knew for a special relationship to everyone she met. She loved cooking, especially baking, and always her feeding her family and friends. Frances survived the Spanish Flu in 1918, lung cancer and two cases of COVID instilling hope and faith to all around her. Through an exceptional long life she witnessed 19 presidencies. OLPH church was always her home, where she initiated the school lunch program by request of Monsignor McCormick. She assisted the Franciscan Convent Sisters in preparation of evening meals. In the rectory she worked with Ruth a life long friend managing dinner for bishops, priests and guests. She attended daily mass until age of 89 always praying the rosary up until the time of her death. Living to 107 was extraordinary but one small detail of her beautiful life.
