Frances A. (Scoville) Dowling

Frances A. "Fran" (Scoville) Dowling, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the beloved wife of 51 years of William R. Dowling. Born in Boston, she was raised in Franklin Park and was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mrs. Dowling worked at Stop & Shop in Abington for 4 years, previously working at Fasano's Catering in Braintree for over 20 years. Fran was a resident of Stoughton for the past 12 years, and previously living in Rockland for 5 years and in Braintree for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandkids. In addition to her husband, Fran is survived by her children, Kim A. Stebbins and Kevin M. Dowling, both of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of Justin Stebbins, Brendan Stebbins, Ryan Mogan, Jessica Dowling and Joshua Dowling. She was the sister of Sue Davis of Quincy and the late William Scoville.
