Frances Dumey Obituary
Frances C. Dumey (nee Abernathy), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Glenn E. Dumey; cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Vevleen Abernathy. Devoted mother of Valerie Pavia, Robyn Breuer, Timothy (Laura) Dumey, and Patrick Dumey; loving grandmother of Sarah (Alan) Juden, Nicholas (Elle) Blackburn, Payton Blackburn, Amy Breuer, Jacob Dumey, Madeline Dumey, and Jade (Caitlin) Pavia; treasured great-grandmother of Landon Juden, Adelyn Juden, Ava Grace Dumey, Stevie June Pavia, and Simone Elliott Blackburn; dear sister of Zoda Mae Dockins, Kenneth (Joyce) Abernathy, Dorothy (Bob) Lawrence, Barbara (Ken) Meyer; sister-in-law of Janet Abernathy, Kenneth Meyer. Preceded in death by brother, JR Abernathy, and brother-in-law, Junior Dockins,
Frances was a hairdresser most of her life and enjoyed doing her friends’ hair. She also enjoyed flower gardening, babysitting her grandchildren, and valued the time she spent once a week with friends for coffee. Frances was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Frances's name to Polycystic Kidney Foundation.
