Frances Ann Dunay

Frances Dunay, affectionately known as Fran or Franny, formerly of Akron, Ohio, passed away on November 5, 2024 in Covington, KY. She was 92 years old. Born Frances Ann Felix in Rittman, Ohio on January 18, 1932, to the late Joseph and Julia Felix, she was preceded in death by one brother and nine sisters. Frances enjoyed a long career selling fine jewelry at JC Penney and was recognized for her extensive knowledge and wonderful customer service. She will be remembered for her sweet tooth, quick and sassy wit, and an outspoken personality that contrasted with her petite stature. Her fondness for reading, solving word-finds and assembling jigsaw puzzles was legendary. She loved brunching with her family and especially, in recent years, cherished time watching old movies and visiting museums with her son Ted. Above all else, Frances will be remembered as a devoted mother who loved her children unconditionally. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly and made countless sacrifices to ensure their education and wellbeing. Her unwavering dedication to her family remains an enduring legacy. She will be dearly missed by her children; Jerry, Jackie and her husband Doug, Ted, Jon, Lisa and her husband Antonio. Frances also leaves behind six grandchildren: Jiva, Ananda, Bali, Emily, Christina, Morgan and many beloved nieces and nephews.
