Frances Emory Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation Society of the Carolinas & Capital Funeral Home - Raleigh on Mar. 21, 2025.
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Frances Anne Emory, a beloved mother, wife, sister, and faithful friend. Known as Red to many, and with unwavering courage, giving cancer her ginger finger, she stood firm against a terminal diagnosis for three years, making lasting memories living, laughing and loving up until drawing her last on Sunday, 9 June, in Apex, NC. A lover of natures splendor, Red hiked countless trails across this grand and beautiful country, enjoying lifes simple moments away from modernity, capturing the best in photos, often encouraging one and all to do the same. Preceding Frances are her mother and father, Frances and DuVal Williams, along with her beloved first husband, Scott Emory. She is survived by her brother and sister in-law, Roddy and Jackie Williams, and her children, with extended members, Sarah Emory and Justin Dee, with Lily Bell, Christian and Andrew Emory. After a brief but joyful three-year courtship with Don Carr, they got hitched in the mountains on 8 September 2022 to tackle and enjoy life as one.
