Frances Elizabeth Gavin

Frances Elizabeth Gavin, wife of the late Thomas J. Gavin, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

Born on April 22, 1949 in Bayonne, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Boyce Lee Gowan and Therese Cosgrove Gowan.

Frances found joy in crocheting, and would create beautiful blankets and stuffed animals that welcomed each new addition to her family. She also found joy in traveling and enjoyed good meals with family and friends. 

Frances is survived by her children William J. Fenning (Jeanne Marie) of New Brunswick, NJ, Fredrick Fenning also of New Brunswick, NJ, and Cindy Donnan (Daniel) of Clemson, SC; her grandchildren Emily and Elise Donnan, Claude Gavin Todd (Elizabeth Samson) and Liam and Carmine Fenning; her great-grandchildren Claude Thomas Todd and Adeline Sofia Todd; her brother James D. Gowan (Dianne) of Easley, SC; and her sisters Grace Gowan (David) of Enoree, SC, and Margaret Walker (Jerry) of Chesnee, SC; and her close friend Robin Deny. 

In addition to her husband, and her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her brother Boyce Lee Gowan II and her sisters Therese Ann Lemmon and Martha Ann McComb.
