W. Yarmouth

Frances M. (Chaisson) Govoni of West Yarmouth passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, and into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus to be reunited with her beloved Husband Robert and all her loved ones who had gone before her!

Frances was born in Framingham Ma. on April 11,1934. The daughter of the late John Kelson and Rita Constance(Houle) Chaisson, Stepmother Jean Dorothea (Stuart) Chaisson. She was predeceased by one stepbrother John K. Chaisson, and Stepsister Carol E. (Chaisson) Burke.

Frances Graduated at Natick High School with the Class of 1952. After graduation Frances ventured down to Cape Cod to spend her summers working at Stop and Shop in Hyannis Ma. as a cashier. In her third summer working she met Robert Govoni, they dated for three months! Robert then proposed marriage and Frances said yes! They married on October 30,1954 where they resided on Franklin St. in W. Yarmouth Ma.

Then the following year they bought their forever home at 15 Anthony Rd. W. Yarmouth where they created a beautiful home to raise their family! When Tony, Debra and I got older Mom and Dad decided to take in Fresh Air Children from New York City and so for the next five years Mitchel and Vincent spent every summer with us and Mitchel spent Christmas with us one year it was amazing! After the boys got older and could no longer come Mom and Dad decided to begin taking in teenagers through the Foster Care program. Not soon after they began their journey in foster care bringing in toddlers and infants!

Our home was always bustling with children! which spanned over twenty years and the adoption of Holly, Lori. Nickolas, Jeanmarie! Frances was an avid crafter. She enjoyed making handmade pinecone wreaths, sewing clothes, to homemade decorations for every holiday especially Christmas!

She enjoyed cooking for a crowd there was always plenty of food to go around! We even had a screened in tent she used to put out in our front yard to cook a huge breakfast in for everyone!

Then mom had lumber materials dropped off in their back yard so Dad could build and attach a large screened in porch to the house. Our Dad was quite the handyman! We enjoyed this deck for many years to come! Then came the above ground pool and an outside shower! So many beautiful memories of grandchildren learning how to swim!

Frances was also a shopaholic where Mom and Dad would venture to Walmart, Costco's then BJ's with Dads blessing if you see it buy it because you may not see it again, in most everything she bought!

She put her love in everything she did especially sharing her love and joy in shaping the lives of her children and each foster child that crossed over their threshold. Some days dad would come home from work, and he would walk in and say to Mom, "was this child here when I left this morning?"

Children came in day and night we were on emergency call 24 hours a day. Frances's life as you see was full time, and she enjoyed every minute of it. She had a sassy wit, and she wasn't afraid to use it! She made everyone she met laugh as she shined her light of joy and love to everyone no matter if she was in the hospital, rehab, where most nurses and staff were always found congregating in her room before and after their shifts no matter what time of day!

Frances had aides that came to help me with Carol, Jessica, and Scarlett, mom made a close relationship with getting to know each one personally! To Sue who came and stayed with Mom when I was able to go home for a few days and to Cheryl who helped me deepen my nursing skills with love and understanding. to John and Karen B. for haircuts and nursing care, our sweet Linda and John W. and a host of Church family that celebrated mom's baptism of faith. birthdays, holidays and cookouts! These memories will last forever!

Mom cherished each person as her own and she shared her gratitude and love with and never letting a day go by without reminding everyone of them! Frances had many friends through the Foster Care program also, and a few special friends she spoke with only over the phone for years and she cherished every moment with them! Most have all predeceased her which I'm sure they are all in heaven welcoming her home!

Mom and Dad started going to Disney World and they caught the Disney travel bug and spent several years going back and taking as many as six children with them! They did get to spend one vacation to Disney without the children and they refused to go without them again so everything was shared in life with Mom and Dad and they cherished every moment together!

What a full and beautiful life Frances lived as she lived life on her terms and enjoyed every moment especially her most favorite comfort- food! "Chinese " which actually most of us shared the same favorite food!

Mom and Dad lived a beautiful life together, and now they are together free of worldly restraints for eternity! Let us all together rejoice in their Happiness!

John 5:24 ESV
