Frances Herring Obituary

Born November 10,1940 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late J. Lewis Fowler, Sr., and the late Gertrude Poore Fowler. She was a certified medical assistant at Anderson Dermatology. Mrs. Herring was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church where she taught youth and 4th grade and was in the Joy Sunday School Class and the Lillie Keasler Circle.
Surviving are her children: Richard Herring (Jill), and Jon Herring (Britt) all of Marietta, GA; grandchildren: Zackary Herring, Payton Herring, Savanna Herring and Ansley Herring.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her siblings: Bonnie Cochran Shirley, and James, Charles, and Billy Fowler.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 16 at Sullivan-King Mortuary with Dr. Tony Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the mortuary. A private burial will take place at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church, 2503 Whitehall Rd., Anderson, SC 29625.
