Frances Hill Obituary

Frances Freeman Hill, 90, passed away at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on February 1, 2026. Mrs. Hill was born in Forsyth County on September 13, 1935, to the late Mary Frances and Kermit A. Freeman.
Frances was a graduate of Gray High School and attended Salem College, where she earned straight A's. Mrs. Hill worked with Norman Dancy in real estate sales. She was an avid antique collector and owned her own interior design business. Mrs. Hill loved to travel, especially with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Hill is survived by her three children: Douglas Byron Pfaff; Deborah Pfaff Faircloth of Pinehurst, NC; and Frederick Pfaff (Shannon) of Canyon Lake, Texas.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren: William Hagen Faircloth (Shannon), Marilyn Jeanette Faircloth, Ashley Pfaff Winters, David Hagen Pfaff, Katie Pfaff Lanier (Josh), Laura Pfaff Triplett (Josh), and Alanna Pfaff Tolley (Christopher); eight great-grandchildren; and her brother, Walter Steven Freeman.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 15th, at Bermuda Village, 142 Bermuda Village Dr., Bermuda Run, NC 27006.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care. Online condolences may be made at www.salemfh.com

Frances (Mimi) was a loving grandmother. She had a kind, generous heart, and a way of making the ordinary feel magical. She was not only a grandmother to me, but a friend and confidant. She will be missed tremendously, but her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who knew and loved her so very much.
