Frances L. Holdeman, 93, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the Moundridge Manor. She was born on January 14, 1931 in Merced, California, the daughter of Jacob G. and Tina (Reimer) Loewen.
Frances attended Cressey and Hilmar, California schools.
She was a member of the Meridian Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in rural Hesston.
Frances was united in marriage to Duane A. Holdeman on October 5, 1952 in Creswell, OR. He survives of the home.
She was a devoted homemaker.
Other survivors include her son, Daniel (Linda) Holdeman of Stapleton, GA; daughter-in-law, Wanda (Gladwin) Koehn of Gentry, AR; sons, Caleb (Joanne) Holdeman of Riceville, IA, Stanley (Kathy) Holdeman of Hartwell, GA, Harold (Irene) Holdeman of Rio Verde, Brazil, and Lester (Sharon) Holdeman of Pryor, OK; daughters, Priscilla (Arlo) Hibner of Rio Verde, Brazil, Irene (Sidney) Schmidt of Adair, OK, and Adeline (Staven) Schmidt of El Campo, TX; 31 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jacob (Betty) Loewen of Rio Verde, Brazil, and Isaac (Rosalie) Loewen of Glenn, CA; and sisters, Salome (Eugene) Unruh of Moundridge, and Lois Holdeman of Russellville, AR.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Holdeman; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Meridian Mennonite Church, Hesston. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, February 23, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Moundridge Manor in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
