Frances Iseman Obituary

CLEVELAND –

Frannie Heyman Iseman, 74, died peacefully on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Montefiore of Menorah Park, Beachwood, OH, due to complications sustained from a stroke she suffered in August of last year.

Born and raised in Youngstown, she was a 1965 graduate of The Rayen School, after which she went on to attend The Ohio State University, followed by Antioch University, where she received her B.A. and M.A. in Counseling and Clinical Psychology. She earned her second Masters at the University of Maryland in Education. While in Maryland, she completed an internship at the Christ Child Society, where she worked with abused children, using puppets as transitional objects to draw them out. She was a member of the American Psychological Association.

As a child, she was known for her love of dogs and entertaining at children's parties as a ventriloquist.

Frannie is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Vivian (nee Axelrod) Heyman. She is survived by her two sisters, Karleen Simon of Boca Raton, Florida, and Sheila Heyman-Schwartz of Cleveland, Ohio, as well as nephews, Adam Simon (Talia) of Philadelphia and Shane Simon (Natalie) of Parkland, Florida, in addition to a grandniece and 3 grandnephews.

A private graveside service for immediate family is scheduled for Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Temple El Emeth Granada Cemetery. Because of Frannie's profound love for dogs, the family requests any donations be sent to the animal shelter of your choice.
