Frances Lorraine Jackson

Frances Lorraine (Canfield) Jackson, 77, of Williamsport, MD passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 2, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 2, 1948 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Harry William and Lucille Viola (Turner) Canfield.

She was a 1966 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

Frances was employed at Wolfe's on the Square for 16 years until her retirement.

She attended Hub City Vineyard in Hagerstown, MD.

Fran loved making homemade greeting cards with her bestie. She had a love for her family, a true heart of gold, and loved them deeply and fiercely.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Lee Jackson whom she married on August 26, 1967; son Larry Lee Jackson, Jr. and wife Penny of Clear Spring, MD; daughter Stephanie Jackson-Atha of Williamsport, MD; grandchildren Tyler Atha, and Macy Miller both of Williamsport, MD and Matthew Jackson and Zackery Jackson both of Clear Spring, MD; bonus grandchildren William Browning and Gabriella Snyder; her joyful dog Chance whom she adored; and sister Esther Hoover of Williamsport, MD.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Anthony Atha; her brother Harry Canfield, Jr and her sister Judy Ward.

Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, MD on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 1:00pm with Pastor Chris Schlotterbeck officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 12:00pm – 1:00pm. Interment will be private.
