"We love you with all our hearts."

Frances (Swanson) Jio went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 18, 2025. She was born Frances Sechrist on January 16, 1943, in Hammond, Indiana. She was a cheerleader and a wonderful artist while attending Atwood High School.

Public Viewing will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Friday, August 22, 2025 at Robert Massie Funeral Home with family receiving friends and family from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

She soon met Jon Douglas Swanson and married him on May 11, 1960. They had four children together and moved to San Angelo, Texas in June of 1973. Frances and her husband managed the first Kentucky Fried Chicken, were they worked together for 30 years. As time passed, they grew apart and went their separate ways. She then married David Jio on April 19, 1997.

Frances loved anything safari and enjoyed spending time with her animals. No matter the season, she found joy in gathering loved ones together. Even the smallest holidays became moments of laughter and togetherness because of her thoughtful touches. Beyond the holidays, she lived with love, generosity and devotion to family. She believed traditions were not just about decorations or food, but about connection and making sure future generations would always know the value of love, laughter and being together.

She loved with all her heart and cherished her family. She was, without a doubt the best mother, grandmother and great grandmother there ever was. She will be truly missed but never forgotten. Fly high, our beautiful Granny.

She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Edith Sechrist, brother: Raymond Sechrist, Sisters: Inez Good, Suzanne Croy and Prenethra Sechrist, Son: Jon Douglas Swanson II, Son-in-Law: John Acosta and Great Granddaughter: Garnett Lynn Munoz.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years: David Jio. Ex-husband: Jon Swanson. Brothers: David (Brenda), Rick (Deanna) and Terry Sechrist. Daughters: Tammie Swanson Munoz, Pamela Swanson Cotter (Joe), Jodi Swanson Acosta, Rosita Palos and Annie Jio. Great grandchildren: Eben Padilla, Jade Perez, Kenzie Perez, Destiny McDowell, Jayden McDowell, Kaiden Mendoza, Jayce Hernandez, Kase Padilla, Avani Jones, Maverick Mendoza and Emrielle Robinson.
