Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hughes Funeral Home, LLC - Trenton on Mar. 26, 2025.
Frances M. Kidd, daughter of the late Douglas and Irene Minor, was born on May 8, 1940, in Mount Holly, NJ. She departed this life on March 22, 2025, at Virtua Mount Holly Hospital with her family and loved ones by her side.
Frances attended and graduated from the William MacFarland High School in Bordentown, NJ. She worked in the Finance Department for the United States Government at the Fort Dix Army Base in Pemberton Township, NJ for 30 years before her retirement. She also worked for the State of New Jersey's Department of Motor Vehicles for 10 years, for which she retired from as well.
Frances married Bernie Kidd Sr. in 1973 and, collectively, they shared six children. Frances, affectionately known as "Mother" by her children and "Aunt Frannie" or "Nellie" by many of her family members, was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all those whose lives she touched.
Frances was known for her famous chicken, broccoli, & cheese casserole. Frances enjoyed spending time with family, hosting large cookouts and family gatherings, participating in crafts, and attending programs and activities at the Kennedy Center Adult Program in Willingboro, NJ. Frances attended Alpha Baptist Church in Willingboro, NJ.
Frances was a lady of immense strength, stellar character, and she was a proud role model. In addition to raising six children, she opened her heart and home to many people. She was tenacious and displayed energy in every area of life. She was never afraid to express herself and her courage allowed her to be prepared for any challenge. Above all, she was loving and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She leaves many loved ones to cherish her memories, including her children, Justin Jackson of Burlington, NJ, Evelyn Vereen of Willingboro, NJ, Carol Kidd of Bordentown, NJ, Linda Kidd of Hamilton, NJ, Gail Hopkins of Burlington, NJ, and Bernie Kidd Jr. of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Justin Jackson, Aaliyah Jackson, Frances Hopkins, Neema Nock, Christopher Kidd, Michelle Kidd, Jamila Kidd, and Tracy Robinson; sister, Alberta Gaines of Bordentown, NJ; an uncle, Jesse Saunders, of Beverly, NJ; a special niece and caregiver, Robin Gaines of Burlington, NJ, a special nephew, Joseph Minor, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
