Frances “Fran” C. Kind age 79 passed away suddenly with her daughter Chrissy Kind Bova from injuries in a house fire on Monday, November 3, 2025. Fran was born in Waukesha on August 10, 1946 the daughter of Frank and Alice (nee MacMurtrie) Burdick. She worked as a “lunch lady” for many years at Butler Middle School and then Waukesha North High School. Fran was an avid reader and baker and enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers. She was a devoted wife to her husband Donald “Mutzy” until his recent passing.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Daniel Kind (Wayne Hopefl) of Milwaukee, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Sandra (James) Grundman of Rib Lake, Susan McCormack of Waukesha, Robert (Mary Lurvey) Kind of Waukesha, and Joanne Kind of Waukesha. She is also loved and survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her daughter Chrissy, she was recently preceded in death by her husband Donald “Mutzy” Kind on October 11, 2025, brother-in-law David Kind and her siblings, Kathy, Judy and Kevin.
A combined service for Fran, her daughter Chrissy and recently deceased husband, Donald will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until a time of sharing begins at 7:00 p.m. at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
