Frances Knape Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Malloy & Son Funeral Home - Galveston on Sep. 27, 2024.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Frances Ann Knape (Frau Knape), who left us on September 26, 2024, to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her beloved husband, Myles B. Knape, whom she sorely missed. Frances was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, sister and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband Myles B. Knape, her mother and father, Ella Frances and Morris Medley, her brothers Buddy and Dennis Medley and their wives Elaine and Pat. She is survived by her sons Eric, Noel and Carlton and their families, her brother and sister-in-law Maury and Evelyn Knape, her nieces and nephews Kevin and Laurie and Donna, Debra and Dina and their families as well as countless other friends and loved ones.
Our mother was an extraordinary person. There were no strangers in her life only unmet friends. She saw only the best in everyone and in turn brought out the best in everyone. Through her adventurous spirit and caring personality, she made and maintained friendships all over the world. The world has lost a saint, and Heaven has gained an Angel. She will be deeply, deeply missed and forever loved.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 2nd from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Malloy & Son Funeral Home, 3028 Broadway, in Galveston. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday Oct. 3rd at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1121 39th Street, in Galveston. A Celebration of Life Reception following the church service will be held at Galveston Island Palms Outdoor Events & Parties, 5802 Avenue S, in Galveston.
