Frances A. Langguth (Jewell), age 88, passed away on January 17, 2025. Frances was born October 6, 1936, in Jackson's Mill, West Virginia. Frances moved to Akron, Ohio in her late teens, and lived the majority of her life in Akron and Barberton, Ohio. She enjoyed reading, playing solitaire, and really enjoyed bingo. She loved animal planet and also enjoyed game show networks. Frances will be deeply missed by her daughters, Phyllis Sheppard and Brenda Langguth and her son, Gregory Vanscoy.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel O. Cottrill; stepfather, Rex Cottrill; husband, Paul R. Langguth; brother, Walter Wayne Jewell; and son-in-law, Gary W. Theiss, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Langguth; grandchildren: Kathy Duncan, Lisa Theiss and Gary W. Theiss, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Cody Theiss, Hannah Duncan, Bennie Duncan, Jr., Alexus Miller and D'Shane Shavers, Jr.; and her great-great-granddaughter, Hazel Miller.
The family would like to thank Michele Jones for her friendship and dietary aid during this last year. We would also like to thank Will and Dorian at Barberton Post Acute.
Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Ohio 44203. Calling Hours will be held an hour beforehand.
