FRANCES MACWILLIAMS (nee Hart), age 95, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025. Devoted wife to the late Raphael J. MacWilliams. Loving mother to Ray MacWilliams (Kathleen), Anita Ross (the late Keith), Dr. Maria MacWilliams (Dr. Mark Chiu), Lisa MacWilliams Evans (Dr. Martin), Kathleen Lipski (Ed), Eileen Kirsch (Dan), Thomas MacWilliams (Eileen), and Celia Holmes (Scott), also survived by 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Beloved sister to the late Virginia Hart Stanziola (the late John).
Frances was the matriarch of the MacWilliams family. She was very devoted to her family and passionately supported her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in their various activities. Frances was an avid sports fan cheering on her beloved Villanova Wildcats, Philadelphia Phillies, and Philadelphia Eagles. She was very active in the community as a volunteer lunch mom and library assistant at St. Christopher School and worked the polls for many elections. She loved writing poems and sharing them with her family and friends. She always had a smile on her face, a wicked sense of humor, and she kept all of us on our toes.
Many thanks to her aides from Holy Redeemer Health Care and the staff at Holy Redeemer Lafayette who cared for Frances over the last several years.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday, February 14, 2025, from 9:30AM until 10:45AM at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Interment will be private at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Christopher School at the above address.
