Giuseppe Meloscia Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Louis A DiGiacomo Funeral Home, Inc. on Jan. 10, 2026.
GIUSEPPE MELOSCIA, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026. Devoted husband of 51 years to the late Ines Meloscia (nee Sacchetti). Loving father to John Meloscia, Joseph Meloscia (Lauren), and Gina Meloscia. Dear grandfather to Sophia and Michael. Beloved brother to the late Agnes Pontarelli (the late Antonio).

Giuseppe (known as Peppino to family) took great pride in his family. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. Giuseppe served in the in Italian Navy, and came to America to seek a life of happiness and opportunity for his wife Ines and children. He worked as a crane operator at Budd Company and was a very talented Barber for many years with a barber shop of his own in Philadelphia. Giuseppe always had a passion for music, he played the drums, and enjoyed playing Bocce. Giuseppe was devoted Catholic and a proud member of his parish where he attended mass weekly. He loved making wine and taught his sons and grandson this special tradition so his legacy can live on. When his grandchildren Sophia and Michael were born, they lit up his life. Giuseppe was happiest when he spent time with his grandchildren during important milestones in their lives. Sophia and Michael loved their coffee dates, dinners, and holidays with their Nonno. His granddaughter Sophia was named after his late wife and we believe both children helped him heal after her passing. Giuseppe will be missed immensely and his legacy will carry on for years to come.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 8:45AM until 10:15AM at Louis A. DiGiacomo Funeral Home, Inc., 1055 Southampton Road, Philadelphia PA 19116, followed by his funeral mass 11:00AM at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, PA, 19116. Burial Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
