Frances Kaye Mathis

Mrs. Frances Kaye Chance Mathis, age 76 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday June 10, 2023. Frances was born on April 4, 1947, in Dalton, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Harlie and Venna Mae Arnold Chance. She is also preceded by her brothers, Raymond, Roye, and Hubert Chance.
Frances was a devoted wife, a loving mother to her sons, and a grandmother who loved her grandchildren. She was also an active and dedicated member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church in Dalton, Georgia.
Frances is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bradley Mathis; sons, Barry Mathis (Angela), Brian Mathis (Kathy); honorary daughter Lanee' Beaver (Mitchell), brothers, Rayson Chance, David Chance (Celia); sisters, Linda Thomason (Lloyd), Marlene Jones (Jeff), Darlene Lucas (David); grandchildren, Kelsey Hooper (Hayden), Emily Arp (Michael), Kaitlyn Duncan (Austin), Bradley Mathis (Victoria);honorary grandchildren, Madenline Hayes (Jonathan) and Nicholas Beaver (Katie) great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Cliff Hooper and Emery Beaver. She is also survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Frances will be held Tuesday June 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Beach officiating.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday June 12, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
