James A Johnson & Katherine Tina” Wilhelmina Lange Kammer Johnson; special aunt, Matilda “Annie” Lange; Her Dad also lived to 100 and married 3 time and had 21 children. She is the baby girl of the last marriage. Her Husband: Gordon S. Haney married: Jan.14,1943

She enjoyed singing Southern Gospel Music, spending time with Family and friends and church family. Irene was also an extremely talented seamstress! Men, women, & children clothing plus exclusive wedding gowns.
Was employed by Arrow Shirt Factory in Cedartown, GA. As well as Polk County General Hospital. Was a Member of The Church of God of The Union Assembly-Calhoun, GA, and a Member of The Order of Eastern Star in Rockmart, GA. she Lived most of her life in Aragon & Rockmart, GA.
She is survived by her Nephew: Jesse F. Messer, Jr & Linda Faye Messer of Dalton, GA
Niece: Mary W. Messer Bond & Great Nephew: Jesse C Bond, Dalton, GA. Jamey (Angie) Messer, Great Nieces: Ploomie Messer, Zoie Messer & Maggie Messer of Knoxville, TN.
William J. Messer, Wartburg, Tn. Niece: Becky (Joe) Taylor of Mascot, TN.
Great Niece Katrina Morgan, & Lindea Morgan Great Nephews: Chad Morgan & Jaron Morgan & the Rev. Labron Morgan, Largo, Florida. A Special lifelong friend: Ms. “Betty” Fred Cassell, Sr. Due to the size of her family she had many nieces and nephews that preceded her and many still surviving.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 7, 2026, at noon, Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Denny Gentry officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, Polk Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until noon at Dalton Funeral Home.
Honorary Pallbearers will be General Herman C. “Buddy” Kammer, Jr. (Ret) US Army, Henry Kammer, Dietrich “Dee Dee” Kammer, William J. “Bill” Messer, Rev. Kenneth “Ken” Young, and Hugh Teems.
