Frances McBride Obituary
Frances earned her nursing degree after studying nursing at St. Mary's Hospital in Hoboken, NJ. She was a licensed registered nurse for many years at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx before retiring in 2007.
Frances took great pleasure in shopping and decorating her home. She enjoyed cooking and baking but what she loved most was being an aunt to her beloved nieces and nephews.
Frances began her love story with her friend and partner, Neil Satow in 1985, marrying in 2005. In addition to Neil, she is survived by her sisters, Theresa McConnachie, Patricia Benzinger and Mary Reddy; her many nieces and nephews and her canine companion, Mollie.
Visiting will be held on Sunday, December 14 from 2-5 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 16 at 11:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak, NY. Interment will follow at St. Mary, Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
There are no visiting hours scheduled for Monday, December 15. Those wishing to attend the Funeral Mass are requested to go directly to the church on Tuesday, December 16 at 11:30 am.
