Frances K. McDaniel

Frances K. McDaniel, age 88, of White Oak, died February 27, 2025, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born December 4, 1936, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Gorman and Rose (Wiles) Boyland and wife of the late Harry S. McDaniel. Frances was an esteemed Democratic Committee Woman, using her voice and abilities to tirelessly serve her neighbors and advocate for causes she believed in. Her commitment to her community extended to her involvement with the American Legion Auxiliary Post 701 in White Oak, where she fostered camaraderie among veterans and their families. A charter member of the Volunteer White Oak Rescue Squad, she made an indelible impact as an EMT, always ready to lend a helping hand in times of need. Beyond her civic engagement, Frances had a spirited love for life evident in her passions for card games and bingo, bringing joy and laughter to gatherings with family and friends. In her later years, she found solace in reading and working on word searches, activities that brought her comfort and enjoyment. She is survived by children, Roseann (Joseph) Costantino, Patricia (Keith) Nelson, Kathleen (David Patterson) Martin, and Harry T. (the late Dana) McDaniel,; grandchildren, Lori (Marc) Selesky, Ann (Spencer) Pullins, Kelly (Josh) Perrin, Erin (Graham Maxwell) Nelson, and Julie (Rob Maglicco) Martin; great-granddaughter, Abby Gunderson; brother, Don (Sherry) Boyland and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Sunny Jo White. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 2 to 6 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
