Frances McDaniel Obituary
She enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for animals. In her early years, she enjoyed painting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Allen McDaniel, Sr.; her parents, William and Mary Aldridge;
her son, Gary Allen McDaniel, Jr., and her brother, Floyd Wayne Aldridge.
Frances is survived by her son, Gary Smitha (Mary); her grandchildren, William Smitha, Josh Likes (Diana),
Calvin Smitha (Kelsey), Amanda Stump, Brittany Bowen, and Alexis McDaniel, her great grandchildren,
J.W. and Serenity Stump, Katie Peed, Emma and Avery Smitha, and Brently and Raylynn Davis; and her
sisters, Judy McIntosh and Beverly Hayes.
A Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
