Frances Miscavage Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Yeosock Funeral Home - Plains on Jan. 15, 2025.
Frances Paul Miscavage ("Frank"), 78, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully at home on January 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Laurel Run, PA, on September 30, 1946, Frank was the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Orleski) Miscavage.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Angela (Ferro) Miscavage, and their cherished family: daughters Wendy Miscavage, Kimberly Birtch, and Danielle Kelly (husband Jim). He was the proud grandfather of Paul and Ryan Miscavage, Katelen Miscavage (fiancé Clifford Harp Jr.), Sarah Miscavage, Kayla and Mandi Birtch, and Julianna and Tyler Kelly. His great-grandchildren, Khloe Harp, Elizabeth, Evelina, and Eliana Miscavage, and Eric Plotts Jr., brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brother, Stanley Miscavage (wife Sherrie), along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Julia Miscavage, his sisters Maryann Yonchik and Margaret Searfoss, and his brother Joseph Miscavage.
A hard worker throughout his life, Frank was employed at Cornell Iron Works in Mountain Top and Cornell Storefronts in Plains before retiring in 2013.
Frank had a passion for the great outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Yankees, and NASCAR. He loved cooking, shopping, dining out, and, most of all, sitting on the porch every morning with his brother Stanley.
More than anything, Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an extraordinary human being whose love, wisdom, and strength shaped his family and all who knew him. His memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration, and his legacy will live on through those he touched.
In keeping with Frank's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Compassionate Care Hospice for the exceptional care provided to Frank.
