Mrs. Frances Eva Puckett Mosley, 94, of Mount Airy, stepped into her heavenly reward on Saturday afternoon, October 25, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Mosley was born February 25, 1931, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Arthur Joseph and Etta Hawks Puckett. Frances was a devoted member of Westside Baptist Church, where she enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School and fellowshipping with other believers. She worked at and retired from Renfro Corporation, where she made many lifelong friends. Family and homemaking were her greatest joys. She lovingly opened her home and cared for her mother and sisters over the years until their passing. Though Frances and Paul had no children of their own, they dearly loved children and acted as second parents to many. Her passions included gardening and baking. While animals were always a part of her life, her flock of chickens and her cat, Blue, brought her great enjoyment in her later years. Left to cherish her memory are her sister-in-law, Vesta Puckett; her nephews and their wives, David and Tina Puckett, Dennis and Melanie Puckett, and Trent and Janet Childress; her nieces, Bonnie Bowman and her husband, Coy, and Loretta Flake; several grand-nieces and grand-nephews; several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and many special cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Franklin Mosley; her siblings Lossie Puckett, Libby Puckett, Hattie Puckett, Clevers Puckett, and Ota Sumner; her niece, Delphia Bowman; and her grand-nephew Sammy Bowman. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Westside Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
