Frances Juanita Mullins

1939 - 2026

86, of St. Albans passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

She was born September 19, 1939, to the late Dorothy Hoffman Crouch and James Mitchell Crouch. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Campbell and Emogene Harless; brothers Jack, Donald, Jimmie, and Frankie Crouch.

She graduated from Charleston High School, Class of 1958. She was saved as a very young lady at a small church called Valley Grove in Charleston, and rededicated her life in 1982 at a church in St. Albans.

Juanita came from humble beginnings in the East end of Charleston. She had to start working in various dress shops at the tender age of 15 to help her mother and the family. She last worked at Frankenberger's department store when she was 22. When she married, her husband Randy insisted that she take "early retirement" and she became a full-time Homemaker and an incredible wife and loving mother who dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She was an excellent cook and a voracious reader who cared passionately about the well-being of children.

She had been suffering from dementia for the past eight years and was patiently cared for and protected by her husband of 65 years who rarely left her side. She spent the past 18 months in the loving environment of Braley Care Home and peacefully passed after two days of incredible care at Hubbard Hospice House.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Randall Mullins of St. Albans; daughter, Kimberly Mullins Cavender of St. Albans; son, Richard Mullins (Stephanie) of Charleston; special sister-in-law, Joyce A. Mullins of St. Albans; grandchildren, Daniel J. Cavender, Adam B. Cavender and Noah R. Mullins; great grandson, Kaden B. Cavender; and some very special nieces, nephews and great personal friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Bartlett-Nichols Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Kimbro and Pastor James Branham officiating. Entombment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
