Frances Palumbo Obituary
Age 91 of Rydal Park, formerly of Elkins Park passed away peacefully Thursday, June 29, 2023.
Fran had a successful career as a field investigator for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. She enjoyed time spent with her family. Fran loved shopping and would sometimes travel far to get that perfect gift, piece of jewelry or crystal. She kept up with current events through her joy of TV and reading. Fran rarely missed a week at the salon for her hair and nails. She really enjoyed life!
She was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Marie Mitchell Kelly, beloved wife of the late Charles Sr.(who she deeply missed since his passing). Loving mother of Lizanne Belmonte (the late David), Frances Warren (Chris), Charles Palumbo II, and Melissa Sassane (Jimmy). Dear Grandmother to Jennifer Newkumet (Jay), Andrew and Nicole Warren, Maria Pody (Nick), Julia and Gina Sassane, and Andrea and Charles Palumbo III. Great Grandmother of Dominick, Jason, Leland, Rose Newkumet, and Logan Warren.
Frances is also predeceased by 9 of her siblings and their spouses who she missed very much; Marie Logan (Arthur), James Kelly (Anne), Patricia Ebert (Andrew), Alice Riehl (William), John Kelly, Nancy Wheeler (Robert), Rita Cassidy (Kevin), Joseph Kelly and Margaret Connor (Martin). Frances is also survived by her 2 sisters-in-law Phyllis Lupinacci, Marianne DiMartino and many nieces and nephews.
Relative and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday, July 6th from 9:15-10:15 AM and to her funeral mass at 10:30 AM both at St. James Church 8320 Brookside Rd. Elkins Park, PA. Her interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
