Frances P. "Fran" Podgorski

Frances "Fran" Podgorski (née Ponente) passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 5, 1950, Fran was the beloved daughter of the late Francis and Doris Ponente.

Fran married the love of her life and best friend, Joseph Podgorski, on October 6, 1978. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around family, love, and laughter. She was a devoted and proud mother to Tracy Kling (Kevin) and Joe Podgorski (Jen), and the most adoring "Nan" to her cherished grandchildren Riley, Joey, Keira, Aubrey, Kaleigh, and Kevin-who brought endless joy and pride to her life.

Fran was a loving sister to Joanne Nicastro (Vince) and is predeceased by her brother Steve Ponente (Michele) and her sister Denise Mastrosante. Her family and friends will remember her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

A lifelong Phillies fan, Fran never missed an opportunity to cheer for her team. She treasured her many summers spent at Bustleton Swim Club, where lifelong friendships were made and memories cherished. Some of her happiest times were family vacations to Ocean City and Sea Isle City, New Jersey, where laughter, beach days, and togetherness filled every moment.

Fran's legacy is one of love, laughter, and family. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, November 14th from 10 to 11am at St. Albert the Great Church, 212 Welsh Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11am. Interment will take place on Monday, November 17th at 10:30am at Washington's Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown. Those who wish to attend we ask that you arrive at the cemetery no later than 10:15am.
