Frances Proia, a lifelong resident of Newton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025.

Frances was the beloved wife of the late Francis Proia. Together, they owned and operated Silver Lake Electronics in Newton, where their hard work, partnership, and dedication to their customers earned them the respect and affection of many in the community.

After her husband's passing in 2002, Fran continued to share her warmth and energy through her work at Curves for Women in Newton, where she was a friendly and encouraging presence for ten years before retiring.

She will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, and generous heart. Fran's steady grace and gentle nature touched the lives of all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband, Franny.

A Memorial Mass celebrating Frances' life will be held on Friday, November 14, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady's Church, 573 Washington Street, Newton, MA. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation in Fran's memory be made to:

I will always remember our Curves days, our everyday phone conversations and our Saturdays to Dunkins for coffee and a
honey dip donut. You were a friend that was a blessing and a
memory to treasure. You will always be loved and missed. May you rest in peace.
Love
Sandy

I remember Aunt Fran and Uncle Franny were always generous with their nieces and nephews, she always sent us cards and gifts, and always had kind words for us at family gatherings. She will be missed.
