Frances Prusha, 91, of Tama, Iowa died on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at her son, Jody's home after her battle with cancer.

Fran is survived by a daughter, Lynne (Kurt) Wallace of Mount Ayr; three sons, Jody Prusha of Tama, Jamie Prusha of Cedar Rapids, and Patrick (Linda) Prusha of Marion; one sister Dodie Fisher of Fort Madison; six grandchildren: Jessica Prusha, Molly Hess, Dr. Alex Wallace, Allison Wallace, Dillon Prusha, and Marcus Prusha; and five great grandchildren. Fran was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Lillian Lewis; husband, LaVerne Prusha; sisters, Mary Atchison and Faith Backen.

Frances Pauline was born October 23, 1934, to Arnold and Lillian (Libby) Lewis and grew up in Tama, Iowa. Fran graduated from Tama High School in 1952. Fran married LaVerne Harold Prusha on July 20, 1957, in Buffalo, Iowa at the Methodist Church. She worked at the General Telephone Company for 11 years, was a daycare provider for many area children for several years and worked at the Tama Public Library for 20 years. Fran enjoyed following her daycare kids as they grew up and had families of their own. Fran was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and was known for decorating the inside and outside of her home.

Memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice and Tama Public Library in Fran's name.

There will be a private burial and a Celebration of Life at a later date.
