Frances "Fran" Romann

New London - It is with heartbreak to announce that our beloved mother, Frances "Fran" Romann passed away Dec. 10, 2025, at the age of 85.

She was born Aug. 16, in New York City to Carmen Gonzalez Sanchez, and grew up in Spanish Harlem, where she met and married Ray Feliciano. They lovingly raised three children until life had other plans, when they divorced.

Fran earned her nursing degree from Pace University and worked many years in mental health. She later met her next love, Chuck Romann, whom she married in 1990. He has predeceased her.

Fran had a lust for life and enjoyed traveling, dancing, and later in life, painting, which she was quite good at. She deeply loved her children and grandchildren and was proud of their accomplishments.

Frances is survived by her ex-husband, Ray Feliciano; her three children, Margie Sydney (Scott) of Waterford; Ronnie Demuro (Bill) of London, Ky.; Raymond Feliciano of Delmar, N.Y.; stepdaughter, Kirsten Gould (Jim) of Bermuda; stepson, Ronald Romann, of Suffern, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Michael Letsche, Raymond Letsche, and Benjamin Feliciano.

Funeral arrangements are being made with the New London Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Avenue, New London. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18.
