Frances K. Scott, age 91, of Walpole, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at the Walpole Health Care Center. She was born on November 14, 1933, in Norwood, Massachusetts, and grew up in the neighboring town of Canton. Frances was the heart of her family, a beloved wife to the late Albert A. Scott Jr., and a nurturing mother to Deidre Scott and Albert A. Scott III, both of Walpole. Her legacy continues to shine through her grandchildren, Albert A. Scott IV, Lily Scott, and Kali Scott, whom she adored with all her heart.
Frances's early years in Canton were filled with the joys of small-town life, and she carried those values throughout her life. After graduating from Canton High School, she furthered her education by attending Secretarial School, which equipped her with the skills that would serve her well in her personal and professional life.
For Frances, home was where her heart truly lay, and she spent a remarkable 60 years living in Walpole, Massachusetts, where she was a cornerstone of her family's life. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she thrived in the role of a devoted wife and mother. Her presence was a constant source of stability and love, and she was revered for her ability to make anyone feel welcome and cherished. Frances loved to cook and bake. For many years she made dozens of Christmas cookies for the Canton Institute for Savings Christmas Open House.
In addition to her family, Frances had a rich tapestry of interests that brought joy to her life. She found great pleasure in spending time with her family, creating memories that would last a lifetime. She was extremely proud to have been active with the Campfire Girls Assn. in the Town of Walpole and served on the Advisory Board of the Norwood assembly #8 of the International Order Rainbow for Girls. Frances was supportive of her son as he played Pop Warner Football all thru elementary school. Each year hosting boys from out of town during the Interstate Tournaments.
Those who knew Frances best would describe her as the epitome of loving. Her compassion knew no bounds, and her kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a gift for making people feel seen and heard, and her empathy was a comfort to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. She was active in her church, the Union Congregational Church in East Walpole. Before she lost her sight she enjoyed working on the Apple Harvest Fair. She and her dear friend Podgie worked on the Timeless Treasure table.
Frances K. Scott lived a life marked by devotion, grace, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, yet her legacy of love and kinship will endure for generations to come. As we bid farewell to Frances, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a woman dearly loved. Her memory will forever be a treasure in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
Relatives and friends invited to attend a Funeral Service at the Congregational Church of Canton Saturday morning June 14th at 11:00 am. The service will be followed by burial at Canton Corner Cemetery.
