Frances Ann Sutton, 82, of the Scottsville Community, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025. She was born in Rome, Georgia, on February 5, 1943, to the late Bud and Helen Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James Robert “Jimmy” Sutton, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Byron (Gena) Sutton; daughters, Pam (Ty) Bramblett, Tonya (Tim) Jernigan; brothers, George Gilbert, Ralph Gilbert, Jim Gilbert, Mike Gilbert, Barry Gilbert; grandchildren, Chelsea (Billy) Patton, Caleb Johnson, Celia Reed, Skylar (Angel) Guerrero, Logan (Shelby) Sutton, Haley Parker, Hunter Parker; great-grandchildren, Tristan Reed, Tessa Reed, Tayden Reed, Jax Patton, Abi Garcia, Aiden Johnson, Chloe Glass.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church Plainville.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM from Fellowship Baptist Church Plainville. Burial will follow in Gilbert-Metcalf Family Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Rodney Freeman, Roger Wilson, Rickie Holten, Kerry Autry, Gene Grisham, and Duane Metcalf.
